This 6,000 square foot two-story addition to Monorail Station E at Newark Liberty International Airport was constructed while maintaining passenger flow through the station.

VRH worked closely with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to perform the work in four phases allowing for minimal impact to the operation of the monorail. Night time outages were required to expand the station which is located between the airside and landside rails. Key elements to the building include architectural structural steel, skylights, and two (2) stainless steel and glass enclosed elevators. Site work included installation of steel and glass custom canopies on either side of the building.
